If this year has taught us anything, it’s that when we work together we can have a tremendous impact. At TrueMotion, our mission is to make the roads safer for everyone. We’re thankful for the many safe driving organizations that share this mission. They’re working tirelessly to educate drivers and advocate for hands-free legislation across the country.
In 2020, we’ve seen an uptick in aggressive speeding and distracted driving during the COVID-19 pandemic. Today, on Giving Tuesday, we wanted to highlight some of the organizations that are dedicated to safe driving.
TextLess Live More is a peer-to-peer advocacy group that’s dedicated to ending distracted driving and distracted living. Through student-run programs and educational toolkits, TextLess Live More is on a mission to change behavior – behind the wheel and beyond – to help us live a distraction-free life.
StopDistractions.org is a grassroots non-profit that’s on a mission to reduce distracted driving through nationwide advocacy, education, and support. It unites distracted driving victims, crash survivors, organizations, and the public to make a greater impact.
Safe Roads Alliance is a not-for-profit that teaches drivers how to be safer on the road. It educates drivers of all ages on road safety topics around teen driving, older drivers, and distracted driving.
The Hummingbird Foundation was created in memory of Elizabeth Giordano to increase the awareness of distracted driving. It provides scholarships to high school seniors in Massachusetts, Curry College students, and drivers for crash prevention training programs.
EndDD was founded in memory of Casey Feldman after her life was taken by a distracted driver while she was crossing the street in a crosswalk. Through advocacy, education, and action, EndDD’s fighting to save lives by ending distracted driving.
